Content Researcher
The Role
We're looking for a Content Researcher to join KOMI's Content Services team - someone whose instinct for what makes video content exceptional is matched only by their drive to find it. Your job is to discover the best content on the internet before anyone else does, operating across the full breadth of digital platforms, archives, and emerging channels with a methodical, curious approach that goes well beyond passive scrolling.
You'll develop a sharp understanding of what each client needs - their audience, their standards, and what will resonate - and apply that knowledge to every piece of content you identify. You bring initiative, consistency, and a genuine enthusiasm for the work.
Key Responsibilities
Hunt down exceptional video content across digital platforms, social media, archives, and emerging sources - casting the widest possible net.
Apply a diverse and constantly evolving set of research methods, tools, and technologies to surface content others miss.
Develop and maintain an expert-level awareness of viral trends and platform behaviours across all relevant verticals.
Assess all identified content against client briefs and editorial standards before logging.
Track discovered content and maintain accurate, detailed records in the database in line with internal processes and GDPR requirements.
Contribute ideas, content, and editorial perspective in team meetings and quality control sessions.
Collaborate with teammates to share platform knowledge, research methods, and trend insights.
What We're Looking For
You have a sharp eye for video content and a strong instinct for what makes something go viral - and why it fits a specific client's audience.
You are deeply online, with an expert understanding of social media platforms and how content travels across them.
You take a methodical approach to discovery: tracking patterns, exploring new sources, and continuously refining your methods.
You are proactive, resourceful, and take initiative without needing to be directed.
You are results-driven and hold yourself accountable to your own output.
You have strong organisational skills and treat accurate logging as part of the job, not an afterthought.
You communicate clearly and collaborate openly - sharing knowledge and feedback with your team.
You remain calm and level-headed under pressure and tight deadlines.
