Video Editor (KOMI Studios)

The Role
Our Video Editors create and edit engaging original content for our Drama Team in KOMI Studios.
You will have a great eye for detail to produce high quality video edits. You will be part of a fast paced team and take the lead in editing your own projects. Getting involved in every part of video creation including ingesting, syncing, and editing footage, adding graphics and audio to gain feedback from your Studios Team and Publishing Lead, making amendments until the project is complete.
You will also have the chance to be a member of the shoot team on set for our Drama original content, working alongside a team of Content Producers to ensure our content is being captured and the storytelling is exactly what is needed for our content to perform.
Key Responsibilities
- You will invent and edit original videos to make compelling videos with a strong story and narrative, requiring planning and implementation.
- You will work to targets set by a line manager to increase productivity and output.
- You will manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is desirable to the audience and are required to have an awareness of industry trends.
- You will produce creative video edits and collaborate with the Platform Leads on scheduling.
- You will report to your line manager weekly on video performance, with an analysis.
- You will attend strategy meetings and weekly stand ups/ huddles.
- You will have the chance to attend shoot days, working alongside our team of Content Producers.
What We're Looking For
- You will have video editing and sound recording knowledge (including experience in Premiere Pro).
- You will have a background in social media or a creative background.
- You will need to have a good understanding of social media platforms and use various platforms to source relevant and engaging content to appeal to its intended audiences.
- You are passionate, creative, enthusiastic, and have a fire to produce amazing content.
- You are a quick learner, who is naturally proactive.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You have the ability to work effectively as a part of a team and alone.
- You have the ability to prioritise and cope with last-minute changes, remaining calm and level headed under pressure and working to tight deadlines (e.g., scripts & setups on set changing).
