Senior Content Producer
Mission: We’re building the most engaged digital audiences in the world.
The Role
KOMI Studios produce the most entertaining and engaging content on social media.
From helping creators fulfil their dreams to creating content for our own brands, KOMI Studios' content resonates with millions of people, engaging digital audiences around the world across Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat and Instagram. Powered by KOMI Insights, our output is shaped by the learnings from the billions of monthly interactions we see across our digital media portfolio - resulting in 320 million original content views in December 2024 alone.
With a growing appetite for original digital content, we are looking for a superstar producer to play a crucial role in bringing more ideas to life - serving digital audiences through our creator clients and owned brands.
We are looking for a Senior Content Producer at KOMI Studios with an agile approach to creating digital content, a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage the entire production process, from pre to post production independently. You will be a confident hybrid producer, with skills in self shooting and directing, with the ability to be dynamic, creative and pragmatic. This role requires a strong mix of storytelling, self shooting, directing and editing as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team.
Key Responsibilities
• Ideation: Script/storyboard content, ideas are well thought out before execution, collaborate closely with the team and ensure the brief is met. Bring innovative ideas to enhance storytelling, experimenting with new formats and styles, keeping ahead of trends and bringing that passion into your content.
Pre Production: Plan productions meticulously, to ensure a smooth running shoot, ensuring that all documentation is in place, locations and talent are sourced, budgets are kept under control, and PPMs are chaired.
• Production & Shooting: Confidence and knowledge in the ability to self-shoot content (on iPhone) ensuring great composition, lighting, and audio.
• Post Production: Organised and timely footage download to shared drive following shoot to ensure the edit stage runs smooth, quality control checks to ensure standards are met. Your own editing skills may be called upon and required.
• Content Strategy: Understand and educate yourself alongside the other departments to create engaging content tailored for different platforms (Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube) and soak up the knowledge and insight so the focus is to always be better and strive for excellence. Adapt content to suit different audience preferences across various digital channels.
• Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain kit safely - phones and cameras, audio gear, lighting equipment and maintain an organised studio storage space. Full training to be given for any equipment unfamiliar with.
• Location Shooting: Travel as needed for shoots, managing logistics, location scouting, and setup and all required important documentation needed (permits, RAs, location/talent release forms). What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience as a producer, having worked in the industry previously.
• Experience in producing digital first content/an interest in creating original content would be a huge advantage.
• You will be at ease with managing tight deadlines, client expectations and working on a high volume of workload simultaneously.
• Confident at problem solving and challenging the brief and ideation process, always striving to be better and for the best possible outcome.
• Confidence in reaching out to locations, casting agents and third parties, strengthening our freelancer database from experience, a confidence in negotiating costings and keeping costings in control, and to a minimum.
• Confidence in budget control and ensuring costs are recorded and in line, the most cost effective route is chosen without compromise on quality, with a focus on the bigger commercial picture, to ensure profitability of the department.
• Giving support to your line manager and stepping up in their absence, managing upwards proactively and being ahead of the game with organisation.
• Playing an active role in Forensic/feedback and OC sessions with the wider team where we discuss content, performance and ideation. Taking a key responsibility to gather feedback, share with the team, and implement for future shoots to continue to improve and make the content better each time.
• Providing peer support, being a team player across the team and departments.
• Embracing mentorship and learning, being open to feedback and training opportunities, owning your own development and striving to be better.
• Professional, approachable and positive can-do attitude both internally in the office and externally on set.
• Understanding your influence and what you can offer to other more junior members of the team.
• Flexibility and willingness to work overtime/weekends/public holidays should the need arise, time always to be given back in lieu.
